A few steps away from the Arena of Verona and the Adige River, there’s a small alley where you can find an historical Scaliger palace: it’s the home of Fishing Lab. Here, the main characters are the raw food station – where raw fish is prepared right in front of the customer’s eyes – and the atmosphere which resembles the sea.
The rooms tell the story of the strength of the sea, the creels, once used for fishing, now light up the scene. Old and tired ropes are resting on the ceiling, gently brushing ancient frescos, play with the light passing through the windows, creating a dance of glows and shadows which, swinging, resemble the feeling of a boat on a quiet day.

Fishing Lab isn’t a restaurant in the usual meaning of the word, but an innovative restaurant concept based on an original unconventional raw and cooked fish formula. We have selected the most distinctive features of traditional cuisines and reworked them into a new, one-of-a-kind configuration. From a taste of fish to a glass of wine, always ready to hand, clients feel at home.
The chefs at the helm guide the visible kitchens. Our waiters and waitresses captain the dining room. Fish, as if it has just been pulled out of the sea, is the real star of the show. Fishing Lab leaves clients free to make up their menus, choosing inventive combinations, sitting at a table or standing up.
Our aim is to offer absolutely top quality raw materials and ingredients at the right price, guiding clients in the choice that suits them best at all times.

The ideal client? A person who loves fry ups and street food, savours the myriad aromas of raw fish, tries out the taste of our grilled recipes. Lab&Go: the menu for opera spectators
For the Arena’s Summer Season, we thought about a fish menu dedicated to Opera spectators. Just show us your ticket for the show of the day at your arrival to get access to an exclusive fish menu that allows you to eat at a restaurant and arrive perfectly on time at the show, sated and happy! This way, the only thing to think about is the little and pleasing 200-meters long walk from Fishing Lab to the Arena!
